Taking a meter reading

Enter the number on the meter face, not the units you think were used. Petak calculates the difference and shows the charge before you commit it.

Consumption is the gap between two counter readings.

  1. 1Open

    Choose the spot

Open the next due or overdue spot and select the metered power line.

  2. 2Read

    Type the counter value

Enter the number printed on the meter. Petak previews the units and amount at the saved rate.

  3. 3Check

    Look at the preview

If the difference is unexpected, check the spot and meter before saving the reading.

  4. 4Save

    Commit the reading

Save it and the line is ready for the bill. A lower value is rejected because a meter counter only goes up.

If the meter was replaced

Edit the previous reading or the spot's opening value to match the new meter. Do not force a lower current reading into the period; that would hide the replacement in the arithmetic.
